The popular Chinese province of Hunan among tourists will become even more accessible. Since January 1 of this year, it was decided to revise the conditions for tourists to stay without a visa. From now on, each transit passenger will be able to stay in Hunando for 72 hours without issuing all the necessary documents. Such innovations were reported at the China Tourism Center, citing an official from the Xiong Fangping Provincial Government.
Citizens from 51 countries will be able to take advantage of the loyal visa-free regime, of which 37 are European, six countries are on mainland America, and two are part of Oceania. In the province, tourists will be able to stay up to three days without a visa, provided that they arrive at the Changsha Huanghua International airport.
In addition, Chinese air carriers are planning to launch international flights with some of the countries that fell into the simplified visa-free procedure. According to Mr. Xiong, all these measures will attract new tourists and make the province more attractive for them. By the way, today the Changsha airport receives aircrafts from 20 countries of the world.
The province, which is located in the central region of the country, is especially popular among European and Asian tourists. This is due to the fact that the region is adjacent to the sea coast and is famous for its magnificent landscapes. Mountain ranges, rivers and lush greenery, as well as a whole complex of rare historical monuments - all this suggests a huge tourist potential. According to official figures, the province has more than 20,000 cultural and historical landmarks, including such celebrities as Hengshan and Shaoshan Mountains, Yueyanglou Temple Complex and many others.
By the way, in May this year, a new attraction will become available for tourists - a 400-meter glass bridge, which claims to be the longest in the region, but also in the whole world. It was built over the Grand Canyon, which is located in Zhangjiajie National Park. So the influx of tourists this year expects to meet all the expectations of tour operators.
